GHCA’s Wiley sixth

    The Greater Houlton Christian Academy boys and girls cross-country runners competed in Caribou last Friday. The course was 3.1 miles, with Caribou taking first place in the boys’ division with 21 points, followed by Presque Isle with 50; Washburn, 97; GHCA, 103 and Fort Kent, 114. Limestone/MSSM had no team score.
    Crossing the line first in the boys’ meet was Presque Isle’s Matt Eager in a time of 17:21, with Caribou’s Caleb Chapman coming in at 17:41.     GHCA’s Micah Wiley was sixth in a time of 19:31.
 Hodgdon’s Nick Lunn finished in the top 25 with a time of 20:16, while GHCA’s Russell Socoby was 31st in 22:44, followed by Ethan Holmes, 38, 24:33; Josh Winslow, 44, 26:39 and Alex Angotti, 45, 26:45.

    On the girls’ side, Caribou won with 28 points; Presque Isle, second, 71;Washburn, 37 and GHCA, no team score, along with Fort Kent and Limestone/MSSM.
    Washburn’s Carsyn Koch was first with a time of 20:54, while GHCA’s Destinee Neureuther was 13th with a time of 24:16.        Other GHCA runners were: Lauren Robertson, 31, 27:02 and Sara Hemingway, 35, 28:32.
