Lundgren, Wayne F., 79, of Saint Cloud, Fla. and Wyomissing, Pa., at Saint Cloud, on August 2, 2011.  Arrangements are in the care of Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.

Wayne F. Lundgren, 79, of Saint Cloud, Florida and Wyomissing, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Saint Cloud Regional Medical Center.

Wayne was born in New Sweden, Maine on April 16, 1932, the son of the late G. Edwood and Pauline (Farrington) Lundgren. He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca (Supplee) Lundgren, of 31 years.

ARSpecAd Wayne LundgrenAmerican Flag ColorWayne graduated from Caribou High School and Aroostook School of Commerce in Caribou and attended Rutgers University. Wayne was also a Scout Master in New Jersey and a Boy Scout Neighborhood Representative for the Hawk Mountain Council in Berks County. He was a secretary for the Jaycee’s in New Jersey and served as financial secretary and treasurer on church boards. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Caperton. Wayne enjoyed attending the annual reunions with his former shipmates.

He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Wyomissing, PA and a life member of the Masonic Caribou Lodge in Maine, a member of the Heritage Society in Kissimmee, FL, and a member of the Parkinson Support Group in Reading and Florida. He was a three gallon blood donor and a member of West Lawn Seniors.

He was a Systems Analyst Programmer for GPU in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He was also owner of a Serv Pro Company in Reading, PA.

Wayne enjoyed making leaded glass items, photography, family genealogy, taking long walks in the community, volunteering for the Astros at spring training in Florida and “Give Kids The World” in Kissimmee, being on his computer and traveling throughout the world with his wife.

Other survivors include three sons: Brent Lundgren and his wife Felecia of York; David Lundgren (Jeanne – deceased) of Reading; James Ferner of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Anna West and her husband Ronald Horning of Beacon, New York; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Wayne is also survived by two aunts: Marion Lundgren Kelly, Maine and Leathea Lundgren, Arizona.

The family received friends at Calvary U.M. Church, 831 N. Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, on Saturday, August 27 at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life and Memorial Service following at 10:45 a.m.
