Intro to Music, a Discovery Session
    The Houlton Higher Education Center Adult Education program is holding an Intro to Music Discovery Session for adults interested in learning more about their potential on a musical instrument. This one-hour session will be held at the Houlton Higher Education Center on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m.
    A possible outcome of this session is a series of classes on specific musical instruments. This is a non-threatening way for people to discover musical interests and potential. The facilitator will be Paul LaPointe, and there is no charge for this Sept. 20 session. Pre-registration is required.
AARP Driving Course at Higher Ed Center
    Houlton Higher Education and AARP announce a four-hour AARP Driver Safety course to be held on Friday, Sept. 23, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Houlton Higher Education Center. This course is open to AARP members ($12 fee) and non-members ($14 fee). Those who complete the course may be eligible for an insurance company discount. The class minimum is 10.
