CRYSTAL – James “Jim” Slauenwhite, 64, passed suddenly Aug. 31, 2011, in Bangor. He was born July 25, 1947, the son of Clair “Spike” and Colleen (Brannen) Slauenwhite.
He was an excellent husband, father and friend. He was a proud veteran and commander of the King Mitchell Post Veterans of Foreign Wars, Island Falls, a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 206, Island Falls, avid gardener, hunter, fisherman, snowmobiler and four-wheeler, and had many great friends with whom he enjoyed spending time.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charlene (York) Slauenwhite of Crystal; son, Edward “Skip” Slauenwhite and his favorite daughter-in-law, Kathy Slauenwhite, both of Mount Chase; daughter, Paula “Sissy” Alexander and her husband, John, of Houlton; grandson, Anthony Slauenwhite of Veazie; granddaughter, Brandi Good and her husband, Bryan, of Windham; great-grandchildren, Ashyn, Ember, Rory and Tabby; siblings, Dean and wife, Leanne, of Dyer Brook, Don and partner, Diane, of Mount Chase, Mark and his wife, Christie, of Garland, Myron and partner, Petra, of Tennessee and Colleen Frost and her husband, Artie, of Oakfield; aunts, Muriel and Shirley; lots of great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins; and extended family, Randy, Marty, Diana, Pam, Malcolm and Brent Rockwell. He was predeceased by his father, Clair; and infant brother, Clair.
