Brambleberry Market, located at 25 Sweden Street, Suite (site of the former Radio Shack) and owned by Debbie and Kendall Sutherland, is one of Caribou’s newer businesses, opening Dec.15, last year.

The gift shop offers beautiful clocks, prints and home decor items to help make anyone’s home inviting and cozy. “I like different and unique decor items,” stated Debbie Sutherland, “those that you don’t see everywhere else.

Brambleberry Market offers traditional, country, primitive and inspirational gifts. They also have silk floral arrangements and wreaths and custom work to match one’s decor. Our store is also wheelchair accessible with plenty of room to maneuver.

Regarding her secret to staying in business, Sutherland replied, “I really don’t have a secret as of yet, since my business is so new. I just try to treat people the way I expect to be treated when I’m a customer. Good customer service will provide great ‘word of mouth’ advertisement and to me that’s the best advertisement you can get. Customer service is very important — it sets you apart from others,” she added.

At Brambleberry Market customers can have their gift purchases wrapped, free of charge, (or if preferred, nestled into a free gift bag). “If you are in a hurry, call us and we’ll have your gift all wrapped and ready to go when you get here,” said Sutherland.

The store also offers wedding registry and a wish-list for ladies (making shopping easier for husbands or family/friends when shopping for anniversaries, birthdays, etc.) “My husband, tells me we need more ‘man gifts’ in our store, so my goal is to include some more masculine gifts including vintage tractors, cars and motorcycles which should be arriving soon,” she said.

Brambleberry Market is a unique store with gifts ranging from candles, calendars, locally crafted Aroostook County signs and furniture to piggy banks and greeting cards.

Stop in to say ‘hello’ and allow yourself plenty of time to spend perusing the tastefully displayed gift and home decor items.
