Fundraiser to benefit FFA

PRESQUE ISLE — FFA members will be hosting a fund-raising dinner at The Crow’s Nest on Maysville Street Friday night, featuring 10 courses sure to please any palate.
“Tickets are $50 per person for the FFA’s 10-course gourmet fundraiser dinner being held on Aug. 26. FFA members will serve 10 participants 10 different courses during the evening, with net proceeds going directly to the local chapter,” said Jan Lucas, event manager for The Crow’s Nest.
Festivities kick off at 6 p.m.
“Amuse Bouche will be served during the social hour between 6 and 7 p.m. You’ll then be seated by FFA members who will serve you with an additional nine courses — the ingredients of which have mostly been solicited by FFA members from local contributors,” said Lucas.
The SAD 1 School Farm, the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Garlic Project and numerous area businesses have contributed toward the Friday night event.
“The dinner is by advance purchase only, with limited availability,” said Lucas.
