WASHBURN — Wet roads are being blamed for an accident Monday night that injured a local woman.
“Kimberly Judkins, 33, of Washburn, was traveling alone in a 2000 Jeep when she lost control of her vehicle Monday night,” said Officer Roy Guidry, Washburn Police Department.
Washburn Fire & Rescue responded to a single-vehicle accident on the Washburn Road around 4:55 p.m.
“It’s assumed the vehicle hydroplaned on the roadway, causing the driver to fail to negotiate a corner,” said Washburn Fire Chief Troy Heald.
Judkins was transported by Caribou Fire & Ambulance Service to Cary Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Hospital officials indicated on Tuesday that no information was available on Judkins’ condition.
Washburn Fire & Rescue was assisted at the scene by Washburn Police Department, Maine State Police and the Maine Warden Service.
