LIMESTONE — Officials with the Davis Long Term Plan Group, owners of the Limestone Manor, tentatively plan to break ground on their new facility around September, and the Limestone Selectpeople are working closely with Limestone Water and Sewer employees to make certain that all goes smoothly.

Because of the future facility’s location near the intersection of the Limestone and the Van Buren roads, water and sewer pipes will need to be run through town-owned land. Employees with Limestone Water and Sewer attended the July 20 meeting of the Limestone Selectpeople to secure approval for digging a few test holes in the town’s adjacent land.

The selectpeople also approved the appointment of selectperson Tom Devoe to the Limestone Water and Sewer Board of Trustees and approved the union contract for the highway employees.

The next meeting of the Limestone Selectpeople will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
