Fundamentals stressed at Beaver Basketball Camp
30 boys and girls participated in the 20th annual Beaver Basketball Camp, which was held at Washburn District High School on July 18-20.
The camp was designed to improve basketball skills by emphasizing the fundamentals of the game. The daily schedule consisted of drill stations, shooting, individual games and 5 on 5 team scrimmages.

The following awards were presented at the conclusion of the basketball clinic: Girls MVP Caitlyn Coulombe and Mackenzie Worcester; Most Improved Player Taylor Howe; Best Defensive Player Laina Mette; Most Desire Emmy Churchill; Coaches Award Natalie Doody; 1 on 1 Gold Division- Mackenzie Worcester, Silver Division- Jessica Aube; and Free Throw Gold Division-Mackenzie Worcester, Silver Division- Taylor Howe
For the boys the MVP was Noah Caron; Most Improved Player Kyle Rider; Best Defensive Player Chris Dandaneau; Most Desire Michael Ericson; Coaches Award Cameron Preston; 1 on 1 Gold Division-Derek Baker, Silver Division-McCall Turner; and Free Throw Gold Division-Jarrett Olson, Silver Division-Noah Caron.
