CARIBOU and CHERRYFIELD — Robert Phillip Dube, 77, passed away July 20, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility following a long battle with Alzheimers. He was born at Caribou, June 16, 1934, the son of Charles and Marie (Nadeau) Dube Sr. Robert was a member of the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was employed at Birdseye Division of General Foods for many years. Robert enjoyed taxidermy, hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Loretta (Dickinson) Dube of Cherryfield; son Michael and his wife, Karen of Whitefield; daughter, Roberta and her companion, Nick of Alabama; son, Jeffery and his wife, Kim of Milbridge; one sister, Grace (Dube) Gagnon of Caribou and his mother-in-law, Rosella Dickinson of Van Buren; grandchildren, Brian Dube and his wife, Kristy, Lynsie, Nichole, Andrew, Jake and Josh Dube. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Raymond Dube and Charlie Dube Jr. and a sister, Sylvia Autery.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, Monday July 25, 2011, from 10 a.m. until time of services, which was held at 12 noon from the chapel of the funeral home.
