PRESQUE ISLE – Doris Nelson, 85, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Southern Acres Boarding Home in Westfield. She was born on January 23, 1926, in Caribou, a daughter of Roscoe and Annie McIntyre.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Tammy Levesque and her husband, Clayton Jr. of Presque Isle; two great-granddaughters: Tasha Greene of Caribou, and Marisa Levesque of Presque Isle; two great-great-grandsons: Logan Greene and Corey White Jr.; a brother, Maynard McIntyre of Caribou; and a sister, Grace of the state of Washington.

She was predeceased by two husbands: Richard Guiou, and Elwin Nelson; a daughter, Brenice Ellis; her twin sister, Dorothy; four other sisters: Helen, Mildred, Dawnie and Ethel; six brothers: Evard, Walter, Herbert, Billy, Bud and Elec McIntyre.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Palmer officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
