Houlton Junior League suffers loss

The Houlton Junior League All-star squad played its first game of their tournament at Mansfield Stadium on Saturday.
The Houlton junior players fell to Hermon, 13-2.
    Ryan Dee was the only Houlton hitter, as he reached Hermon’s Eric Hoogterp for a single and then later scored.
Hoogterp fashioned a five-inning performance, striking out seven, walking two and allowing only two runs.
Houlton is 0-1 in the tournament, while Hermon improves to 2-0.
The game was ended after the 10-run mercy rule after the fifth inning.
