PT Georgene Collins    HOULTON, ME and HOMOSASSA SPRINGS, FL – Georgene S. Collins, 76, died July 1, 2011 in Homosassa. She was born Oct. 9, 1934 in Bridgewater, the daughter of Helen Bradstreet McGlaughlin and Edgar Farley.
    Georgene attended Bridgewater schools and graduated from Houlton High School, class of 1952. She worked at various jobs in Houlton and Florida. Her last position in Houlton was the manager for Dixie Lee in Houlton, and Aroostook Dry Cleaners, and her as being a cook for the Brothers at Tampa Catholic High School.
    After retirement, she became caregiver to her mother for eight years.
    She volunteered at the Homosassa Civic Club Food Bank. She enjoyed going to the flea markets and was a collector of many things.
    She enjoyed working in her flower gardens.
    Georgene was predeceased by her mother; father; husbands, Chester Stearns and Raymond Collins; brother, Carl; grandson Chris Hiscoe; and step-father Benjamin McLaughlin.
    She is survived by her children, George and wife Diane Hiscoe of Houlton, Steven of Holiday, FL., Trudy Brill of Tampa, FL, Linda Tibbetts of Bridgeton, ME; sisters, Rena and husband Paul Rairdon of Westbrook, ME, Marie and husband Jack Pishnak of Carson City, NV, and brother Elmer and wife Sue of Buxton, ME; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; friend and father of her children, George Peter Hiscoe and his wife, Tricia of Franklin, NH.
    A celebration of life is going to be held at the Houlton Wesleyan Church on August 21 at 2 p.m.
