CARIBOU — The Caribou School Department is getting a little more than $800 for timing equipment thanks to money raised from the annual S.W. Collins 5K Road Race.

There was plenty of energy at the start of the annual S.W. Collins 5K road race, held Sunday, June 26. Fifty-nine runners took part in the event. PJ Gorneault was the winner with a time of 15:31.0. Gabrielle Naranja won the female division, completing the course in 19 minutes even.
Fifty-nine racers gathered in downtown Caribou on Sunday, June 26 to tackle the two loops, which made up the 5K race.
PJ Gorneault was the overall winner with a time of 15:31. The overall winner in the female division was Gabrielle Naranga at 19 minutes even.
The 14 and under male and female winners were Dawson Hebert and Madeline Hebert; Erik Rupert and Melissa Manning captured the 15- to 18-year-old division; Russell Currier and Katrina Howe claimed the top spots in the 19- to 29-year-old division: for runners 30- to 39-years-old Shawn Berry and Susan Plissey won; Will Sweetser and Angela Ewing had top honors in the 40- to 49-year-old division; Leo Kashian and Kim Wright won in the 50- to 59-year-old category and Phil Strout was the fastest in the 60- to 69-year-old division.
Winners in the S.W Collins Kids Fun Run held prior to the 5K include: Teann Ewings, Gage Levesque, Macie Towson, Ari Plante, Lauren Johnston and Evan Desmond.
