    HOULTON – Jeffrey V. Hardy, 54, died June 23, 2011 at an Orono healthcare facility. He was born April 17, 1957 in Houlton, the son of Vinal G. and Audrey (Paul) Hardy.
    Jeff was a member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians and a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. He was employed for many years in the construction field.
    Jeff is survived by his mother of Fredericton, NB; four daughters, Jasmine Hardy of Houlton, Monica Hardy of Lewiston, Violet Hardy and Maria Hardy both of Ellsworth; three grandchildren, Madison, Dominic and Jocelyn; five brothers, Patrick Hardy of Fredericton, NB, Calvin Hardy and Jay Hardy both of Houlton, Timothy Hardy and Earl Hardy both of Fredericton, NB; four sisters, Brenda Commander of Houlton, Lorraine Hardy-Grimmer of Fredericton, NB, Deana MacPherson of Hollis, Lisa Hardy of Houlton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased his father and his infant sister Lori Lynn.
    A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, June 27 at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
