SWEETSER, Ralph “Ted” T. Jr., 72, MONMOUTH & AUBURN, at Androscoggin, June 12, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed., at 9 a.m., at St. Leo’s Church in Litchfield. Private burial will be held at St. Peter’s Mausoleum. Arrangements are in the care of Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.

American Flag ColorMONMOUTH & AUBURN – Ralph “Ted” T. Sweetser Jr., age 72, died Sunday morning, June 12, 2011, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, with his family by his side. He was born in Presque Isle on July 1, 1938, the son of the late Ralph T. Sr. and Dorothy (Delong) Sweetser.SH Ralph Sweetser 2 OB

He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School Class of 1956. Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years at Bath Iron Works as an Electric Shop Tech Planner.

He was a member of St. Leo’s Church. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and card playing. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.

He is survived by his wife of Monmouth, Rita Sweetser, whom he married on July 1, 1983; one son, Charles L. Sweetser and his wife, Mary-Ann of Reading, MA; one daughter, Donna L. Gardner and her husband, Carl of Lewiston; one stepson, William L. Gendron and a stepdaughter, Joline R. Daigle, both of Lewiston; one brother, Stephen C. Sweetser and his wife, Pauline of Presque Isle; eight grandchildren including: Brandon, Evan, Dillon, Nichole, Brianna, Danielle, Allison and Nicholas; three great-grandchildren: Scott, Shane and Drew;

nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Suzy.

He was predeceased by his infant brother, Richard Sweetser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, at 9 a.m., at St. Leo’s Church in Litchfield, with Rev. Kevin Martin celebrating. Private burial will be held at St. Peter’s Mausoleum.
