CARIBOU – Griffeth Ford squeaked by Gagnon’s Studio to win the 2010-2011 Men’s League Basketball Championship.
Ford ended the regular season in second place with a 14-4 record, while Gagnon Studio was third at 12-6. Fitzherbert’s Team came took the regular season title with a 15-3 mark.
The road to the championship was challenging for Griffeth Ford, who fell to Gagnon’s, 67-61, and then fought to win the finals, 48-42.
In the title game, Griffeth’s Ghent Holdsworth outscored all players with 19 points. Gary Hebert and Shawn Manter both netted eight points, while Bobby Russell scored six.
Gagnon’s Studio top scorers were Adam Thompson and Tim Gagnon, who each put in 14.
