Friends of Scouting Golf tournament
The Caribou Friends of Scouting will hold its fourth annual four-person scramble golf tournament at Caribou Country Club June 11, with a rain date of June 12.
Registration is from 7-8 a.m. and the tourney begins at 8 a.m.

District softball tourney
The ASA Class D district men’s slo-pitch softball tournament will be played June 17-19 in Caribou. The top teams from this event will advance to the Class D state championships.

Middle school tennis results
The Caribou Middle School tennis team had a strong showing in the Aroostoook League singles tournament held recently.
Brendan Cyr of Caribou defeated Michael Marquis, also of Caribou, 8-2, in the boys’ singles final. Caribou’s Erin Patton lost to Van Buren’s Courtney Parent, 8-5, in the girls’ singles final.
In boys doubles, Gabe Massey and Josiah Krul of Caribou bested Jordan Bevins and Austin Cheplic of Caribou, 8-1, while in girls doubles, Nicole Wickstrom and Jenna Boucher of Caribou teamed up for an 8-1 victory over Anna Soderberg and Kaitlyn Nadeau,

The slo-pitch softball leagues are now under way, and this week’s schedule for games in Caribou is as follows:
Men’s league: Buck’s Construction vs. Bull Dogs; 7:30 p.m., CPT vs. Bull Dogs; 8:30 p.m., CPT vs. County Boys.
Tuesday, June 7: Freddy Ps/SOS vs. Tobique; 7:30 p.m., Griffeth Ford vs. Tobique; 8:30 p.m., T.W. Willard vs. Bull Dogs.
Co-ed league (all games in Caribou): Friday, June 3: 6 p.m., Swedes vs. Damboise Electric; 7 p.m., Loring Job Corps vs. LeClair Law Office; 8 p.m., Optix vs. DFAS.
Monday, June 6: 6 p.m., DFAS vs. Par ‘n Grill; 7 p.m., Swedes vs. Anderson Concrete; 8 p.m., LeClair Law Office vs. Optix.
