Sen. Collins to address Presque Isle graduates
PRESQUE ISLE — Donna Lisnik, principal at Presque Isle High School, is pleased to announce that the 2011 commencement speaker will be U.S. Sen. Susan Collins.
Graduation exercises will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 10 in the gymnasium.
A native of Aroostook County, Collins has represented the state of Maine in Washington, D.C. for 15 years and is presently the Ranking Member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and she serves on the Appropriations Committee, Armed Services Committee and is a member of the Special Committee on Aging.
Collins is the 15th woman in history to be elected to the Senate in her own right.
