Andrew Vetter
Valedictorian
Katahdin High School officials have announced Andrew Vetter, son of Ralph and Bridget Vetter of Patten, as valedictorian of the Class of 2011.
Vetter plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono in the honors program and major in biology/pre-med. He has been a class officer, a member of Student Council, participated in All-Aroostook and All-State Chorus, as well as being a member of the National Honor Society where he also served as vice president.
For salutatorian, school officials named both Brittany Fogarty and Kolby Gallagher to the post.

Salutatorian
Brittany Fogarty, the daughter Lisa Fogarty of Stacyville and Mike Fogarty of Barrington, N.H., plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono in the honors program and major in biology/pre-med. She is a member of the Student Council, All-Aroostook Band, and the National Honor Society. Fogarty has been involved in basketball, Pep-band, and jazz band. Kolby Gallagher
Salutatorian
Kolby Gallagher, son of Cecil and Lynn Gallagher of Mt. Chase, plans to attend Maine Maritime Academy and major in marine operations engineering. He has been involved in soccer, baseball, volleyball and basketball. Gallagher has been on the soccer state championship team in 2008, Eastern Maine baseball team in 2007 and received the All-Aroostook award for soccer in 2009.
The following students are honor students of the Class of 2011 listed in alphabetical order.
Christopher Cloukey is the son of Dennis and Michele Cloukey of Sherman. He plans to attend Maine Maritime Academy to major in Power Engineering. Cloukey has been involved in baseball, baseball, golf and volleyball. He has volunteered for Vacation Bible School and sings during every church service. Cloukey has been in All-Aroostook Chorus during his high school career and also sings at the various sporting events.
Kacey Fogarty is the daughter of Lisa Fogarty of Stacyville and Mike Fogarty of Barrington, N.H. She plans to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City to major in biology/pre-med. Fogarty has been involved in the Southern Aroostook Tobacco Outreach Program, Art Club, and has volunteered at Vacation Bible School.
Megan Guiggey is the daughter of Matt and Debbie Guiggey of Stacyville. She received her Maine State Certification as a nurse’s aide through Region II. She has been involved in karate, church ministries and has taken a missions trip to Mexico. Guiggey was also involved in All-Aroostook Band and Chorus.
Myah Smallwood’s the daughter of Gregg and Paula Smallwood of Patten. She plans to attend Central Maine Medical Center to major in medical radiologic technology. She has been involved in basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball. Smallwood is a member of the Student Council and was a member of the Prom Committee.
