LIMESTONE — A man in his early 30s was viciously attacked by three assailants at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Saturday morning and officers of the Limestone Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the three men responsible.
According to LPD Officer Danny Gahagan II, the victim was walking down the Noyes Road in Limestone near the Caribou border early Saturday morning when three men drove up, got out of their small SUV and struck him more than 30 times with a blunt object before getting back in the vehicle and driving away. It is suspected that the SUV approached the scene from the Caribou area.
The victim obtained assistance by alerting nearby residents and was taken to Cary Medical Center shortly after. He was released later that morning.
Limestone Police Officers are looking for anyone who may have seen a small SUV in that area around 2:40 a.m. on May 28, or for any information the public may have pertaining to the attack.
