CARIBOU & MICHIGAN — Danny Ouellette, 51, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011, following a brief illness. Danny was born on July 15, 1959, in Caribou, Maine, son of Percy and Mildred (Damboise) Ouellette.
He attended local school and was a graduate of Caribou High School class of 1977. During Danny’s career he managed local restaurant franchises throughout Aroostook County. Later in 2004, he relocated to Traverse City, Michigan where he accepted a position with AVIS Car Rental Corporation, overseeing the company’s daily operations. Danny enjoyed snowmobiling, NASCAR and being in the company of friends and family. Some of his most cherished memories were during his childhood years growing up with his parents, twin brother and sister. Danny was always known for being the “comical” member of his family. There was always a story or practical joke to be had when Danny was around.
Danny was predeceased by his father, Percy Ouellette, January 23, 2001. Surviving are his mother, Mildred (Damboise) Ouellette of Connor, one sister, Darlene A. Ouellette of Queensbury, New York, and his twin brother, Dale L. Ouellette and his wife, Belinda of Connor; a son, Jeremy Ouellette of Connor, a daughter, Laura Smith of Caribou, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Danny is also survived by his wife, Susan (Nachazel) Ouellette of Traverse City, Michigan, numerous stepdaughters, stepsons & grandchildren.
Interment will take place at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery, North Caribou, Maine.
