The Houlton High School varsity tennis teams were defeated 5-0 by host Presque Isle last Thursday.
In boy’s action, Presque Isle won all five matches, as Caleb Mathers defeated Lucas Anderson, 8-0; Connor Shaw topped Cody Woods, 8-1; and Emerson Castro bested D.J. McGary, 8-1.
In doubles, Brock Cassidy/Osman Castro overpowered Avery Kibler/Josh Sullivan, 8-0, while Andrew Lagassie/Jake Plissy toppled Ethan McGary/Isaac Cone, 8-0.
The Presque Isle girls also defeated Houlton, 5-0.
In singles, Divya Bisht defeated Kelsey Fitzpatrick, 8-2, while Lindsay Michaud topped Megan Gerath, 8-2 and Dani Woodard won by forfeit.
In doubles, Melissa Carson/Elise Jones topped Courtney Bragan/Lizzy Garcia, 8-1 and Chelsey Carroll/Kayla Girardin won by forfeit.
