PRESQUE ISLE — The Area Wide Yard Sale is fast approaching, providing a perfect opportunity to match up those looking to make a bit of cash and those looking for a bargain.

Tough economic times have forced many people to pinch pennies to make ends meet. Whether you want to get rid of your clutter and free up some space for something new and make some pocket money in the process or don’t have a lot of money but need something to spruce up your home or wardrobe, this is the event for you.

“Join the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, June 4, at 8 a.m. (with a rain date of June 11) as we set forth on our annual Area Wide Yard Sale and sell your unwanted items,” said Theresa Fowler, executive director, PIACC. “Remember, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

Fowler said the cost to have your sale site marked on the map and into the hands of buyers is $10 for residents and $20 for businesses.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Chamber, local businesses and Presque Isle City Hall.

“If you are interested in adding your name to the map, contact the Chamber at 764-6561. Registration forms need to be returned to our office by Friday, May 20,” said Fowler. “Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to put a little cash in your pocket.”
