The Presque Isle Wildcats’ softball team picked up a pair of victories against County opponents last week, beating Houlton last Tuesday, 8-7, and downing Fort Kent Saturday, 17-0.

Karlee Bernier scored the winning run on an error in the bottom of the seventh for the Wildcats, now 2-2 on the season.

Madawaska 11, Fort Fairfield 5 — The Owls prevailed last Tuesday by scoring seven times in the top of the seventh inning in the come-from-behind win.
Kelsey Turner had three hits and Kellyn McGillan added a pair of safeties for the Tigers.
Southern Aroostook 8, Ashland 6 — The Hornets fell just short last Tuesday in their late rally against the Warriors in Ashland.
Anna Paradis ripped a run-scoring triple as one of just four Hornet hits.
Fort Fairfield 25, Washburn 12 — Both teams took advantage of numerous walks issued by the opposing team’s pitcher, but the Tigers put nine runs on the board in the bottom of the fifth to come out on top. Rebeckah Pelkey had two hits and two RBIs for the winners, while Kayla Brewer had two hits for Washburn.
Central Aroostook 14, East Grand 7 — The Panthers doubled up on the Vikings Monday behind Vicki McIntyre’s three-run triple and two hits apiece from Kristen Long, Jessica Malo, Rachael Grew and Page Fletcher.
