PRESQUE ISLE — Pediatric/orthopedic screening clinics, hosted by the Anah Shriners, are planned throughout the state this weekend, including one in the Star City.
“Each year the Shrine offers free medical screening to children of Maine,” said Matt Ferris, public relations contact for the Kora Shrine Center in Lewiston.
In Presque Isle, the screening will be held on Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Aroostook County Shrine Club Building, located on Route 1, south of the city. Contact Richard Hallett at 429-9059 for more information.
No appointments are necessary and there is no charge for your visit. Participants will be evaluated for referral to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
“In times such as we now live in, we feel that this service which has no cost to the family of the child being treated is needed more than ever,” said Ferris.
