Little League umpires needed

Caribou Little League is seeking volunteer umpires for this summer. Umpiring is a great way to give back to the community and it also will count towards a student’s community service graduation requirement. Those who are currently high school freshmen or older are eligible to umpire.

Any interested individuals are asked to attend one of two umpire clinics. They will be held at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center Thursday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. and also on Sunday, May 1  at 2 p.m.

With any questions or for more information, call Arik Jepson at 498-6166 or visit www.cariboulittleleague.org.

Tennis open house set for Saturday

An open house-grand opening for the new tennis courts at Caribou High School will be held Saturday, April 23 at 11:30 a.m.

The event will be held in the CHS ski building and the public is invited to attend.

The Viking teams will host John Bapst that afternoon at 1 p.m.

Pitch, Hit and Run

The Major League Baseball-sponsored Pitch, Hit and Run Competition will hold a local competition May 7 at the Caribou Little League fields. Girls and boys will compete separately and there are numerous age divisions, which range from 7 to 14.

For information on times, contact the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department at 493-4224.
