Happy Days Club host Medicare expert

The Senior Happy Days Club meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Easton citizens, age 55 and over, are welcomed to come and join the club for informational meetings, lunches and games.
On Thursday, April 28, Tammy Delong from the Agency on Aging, will be speaking about the changes in Medicare that will affect about 4,200 older citizens in Aroostook County. There will be a cutback in eligibility for what is called the Medicare buy-in program. Many Easton seniors depend on this program and could lose critical benefits. There will be a potluck lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Manor.

Bridal luncheon
A bridal luncheon was given for Hillary Trainer on Sunday, March 20th at the Mars Hill Country Club. A lunch of soups, specialty sandwiches and salad was prepared by the bride-to-be’s mother, Mary Trainer and her friends — Kathy Peary, Lee Lyons and Evelyn Paul. A chocolate fountain was a special sweet treat for the guests.

The shower was given by the bridesmaids which include Rebecca Allen, Heidi Burtt, Kellie Wood and Wendy Burchell, all special friends of the bride. Guests traveled from as far away as Portsmouth, N.H. and Bangor. The wedding will take place in Easton on May 14th with the reception to follow at the Crow’s Nest in Presque Isle.

Birthdays and anniversaries
On April 20th Anna Osgood, Cole L. Lamoreau and Rhonda McPherson all have a birthday. Jonathan Kimball has a birthday on April 21st. There will be a day of celebration on April 22nd for Jenny Blackstone, Joe Cova and Emily Thompson. On April 23rd Robert Waugh, Stephen Donnarummo and Christina Soliday will all turn another year older. On April 24th Brandon Marquis, Kay Ford, Adam Tibbetts and David Hopkins Jr. will all be celebrating their birthdays. Ella Wilson and Shane Pendexter have a birthday on April 25th. Tammy White has a day to celebrate turning another year older on April 26th.
