Klein, Tweedie take Mars Hill crowns

The 2011 Miss Greater Mars Hill and Little Miss Mars Hill pageants were held on Saturday, April 2.

The event began with the interviews taking place in the afternoon. The pageants began at 6 p.m., with the Greater Miss contestants doing their opening routine, followed by the Little Misses’ opening routine. Maine Potato Queen 2010 Brittni Mosher welcomed the crowd.
Mistresses of Ceremony for the evening were Michelle McLaughlin and Shelby Hallett. The evening’s competition began with sportswear for both the Little and Greater contestants, followed by the talent competition. This was followed by the Little Miss party dress and question competition and the Greater Miss evening gown and question event.
JANELLE TWEEDIE
sang and danced to “Love Bug” as her talent
during the Little Miss Mars Hill 2011 pageant on April 2.
She was crowned the new Little Miss and also received the award for High Ticket Sales.
The talent competition for the Little Miss contestants began with Janelle Tweedie singing and dancing to “Love Bug.”
Janelle was named the new Little Miss Mars Hill 2011 and also received the award for High Ticket Sales.
She is the daughter of Josh and Jennifer Tweedie.
LIBBY GRASS

ELIZABETH HOTHAM

Elizabeth Hotham was the final contestant for the Little Miss Pageant.
She did a song and dance to “You Can’t Hurry Love” as her talent and was named the first runner-up.

CHELSEA STIGGLE
was named the Second Runner-Up
in the Miss Greater Mars Hill 2011 pageant on April 2.
The Little Miss escorts were Brandon Wright, son of Edward and Tracey Wright, and Grayson McKenney, son of Dave and Susie McKenney. They were very handsome in their best suits as they performed their duties as escorts.
The first contestant for the Miss Greater Mars Hill title was Chelsea Stiggle. She did a great job with “Stupid Cupid” as her talent. She was named the second runner-up. Chelsea is the daughter of Michael and Bobbie-Jo Stiggle. Her escort for the evening was Robert McKenzie.
PATRICIA DONOVAN

She did a graceful self-choreographed dance to “You Raise Me Up” as her talent.

Mariah received the award for High Ticket Sales.

She is the daughter of Tim and Colleen Brewer.

during the Miss Greater Mars Hill 2011 pageant on Saturday, April 2.
She played the piano and sang “Our God” as her talent.
She was also named Miss Congeniality.
Lindsey Watson is the daughter of Dana and Gloria Watson.
She sang and played the piano to “Our God” as her talent.
Escorted by her dad, Dana, Lindsey was named the first runner-up as well as Miss Congeniality.
RACHEL DONOVAN,
Miss Greater Mars Hill 2010, performed a self-choreographed dance
to “Always Enough” during the 2011 pageant held on April 2.
Entertainment was provided throughout the evening by Little Miss Mars Hill 2010 Gracie Giberson, who sang and danced to “Great Balls of Fire;” Miss Greater Mars Hill 2010 Rachel Donovan, who performed a self-choreographed dance to “Always Enough;” and Maine Potato Queen 2010 Brittni Mosher, who performed a gymnastics routine.
