The Big Surprise

Max was going upstairs.
Then he saw a door.
He opened it.
He saw a little pink box.
He looked in.
It was a bunny.
Then Max told
his friends to come.
Lily and Jake
looked in the pink box.
“A bunny!”
That was a big surprise.
Then Max, Mom, and Dad came in. “A bunny,” they said.
“Oh, can I keep it?” Max said. Mom and Dad looked at each other. They nodded their head.
“Yes,” they said.
“Oh, yeah!” said Max.
He was happy.
So were his friends.
