Caribou BPW offers scholarship opportunities

The Caribou Business and Professional Women’s organization is once again offering three levels of scholarship opportunities to be awarded in June.

At the first level, high school seniors entering an accredited college may apply for the Viola Willard High School Scholarship. Willard, a retired educator who is a longtime member of Caribou BPW, served as the state BPW/Maine president in 1977-78.

In the second level, college students who will be entering their junior year of studies may apply for the Caribou BPW Interim Scholarship.  

The third level allows for any woman, who is at least 25 years of age and is a first-time entrant to an institute of higher learning may apply for the Caribou BPW Non-Traditional Scholarship.

Interested persons may send an e-mail to cbpwscholarship@hotmail.com to request an application form and to receive further information on the necessary criteria. Application forms are also available at all local schools.

Completed applications are to be mailed to Caribou BPW, P.O. Box 412, Caribou, Me.  04736 and must be received by April 20, 2011.
