Bear is living at a Halfway Home Pet Rescue foster home and is extremely anxious to find a home with lots and lots of love. He is a 2- to 3-year-old neutered male, leukemia/AIDS tested, current distemper and rabies shots, and is cleared of any parasites. Bear was raised in a home with four other adult cats and five kittens and they all got along very well, but Bear is a dominate male personality and while he won’t instigate a fight with another male cat, he will not back down from one either. He adores all females and is fine with kids and dogs. Bear is clean about his environment and has a lot of curiosity; he will be available for adoption on Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tractor Supply Store in Presque. All adult cats at HHPR have had the same medical care as listed above (approximately $150 to $175), and all will be adoptable for $30. HHPR is a 501c3 corporation and a Maine state licensed animal shelter. Volunteers with the shelter have expressed “a great need of Purina Kitten Chow and for help with our current medical bill; any amount of help is gratefully appreciated.” HHPR volunteers are currently working with five young adult feral cats that are appearing to tame down considerably. Additional information regarding HHPR can be obtained by visiting their web page at www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org, e-mailing norma@halfwayhomepetrescue.org or by calling 492-1722 for more information.
