CARIBOU — The Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Lunch and Learn on Friday, April 8 at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center — the first of a proposed many to come. This first Lunch and Learn is titled “Connecting Your World” and is co-sponsored by the chamber’s newest member, OTT Communications. Chamber officials plan to continue hosting lunch and learns periodically to benefit both chamber members and community residents with great networking opportunities as well as promote awareness as to what area businesses have to offer.
“In this Lunch and Learn, we’ll be explaining what OTT is all about, how their products work, how their products can save the area’s business and community residents money,” explained Interim Director of the Caribou Chamber Jenny Coon.
While future Lunch and Learns are still in the planning phases, Coon suggested that the next lunch event could take place in May and feature ways to modernize one’s business PC. Coon did mention that the Chamber is actively seeking input from the business and residential community regarding topics they’d like to learn about in order to provide informative learning sessions tailored to meet the needs of the taxpayers.
“We want to have great communication with the community about what they’re interested in,” Coon said, mentioning that the Chamber is here to work for both businesses and the community at large.
The Lunch and Learn will be from 11 a.m. until noon, and a little lunch and refreshments will be served; those who plan on attending the event are asked to RSVP by calling 498-6156.
