Nine to vie for three titles in ‘Queen of the Sea’ pageant

On Sunday, March 20, the stage at the Caribou Performing Arts Center will be awash with bright lights and even brighter smiles as nine young ladies seek, during a combination pageant, to capture the crown and title of either  2011 Pre-Teen Miss Caribou; Junior Miss Caribou; or Miss Teen Caribou.

Nine of these young ladies will be contending for the 2011 Pre-Teen Miss Caribou; Junior Miss Caribou and Miss Teen Caribou titles during a combination pageant on Sunday, March 20,  at the Caribou Performing Arts Center beginning at 7 p.m. In front are Miss Pre-Teen Caribou contestants, Kyra Brynn Thibeault, Hanah White, Meagan Dube and Lexy Bruso. In row two are: Alexis Rosemarie Guillemette, Karina Patterson and Kelsie Washington, all Jr. Miss contenders. In back are Reanna Lynn Plourde, Miss Teen Caribou contestant; Samantha Fortin, the reigning Miss Pre-Teen Caribou; Hannah Hebert, 2010 Miss Teen Caribou; Victoria Keaton, 2010 Jr. Miss Caribou and Coutney Sheldon, Miss Teen Caribou contestant. Tickets for the event are $6 and are available from the contestants or at the door.

 

The “Queen of the Sea” pageant will include an opening number performed by all contestants and reigning queens. Each  contestant will be judged in the categories of physical fitness, talent and evening wear.                 

Contestants, in order of their appearance and their talent selections, within their respective title competition, are as follows.

2011 Pre-Teen Miss Caribou

Lexy Bruso (vocal), the daughter of David Bruso and Lisa Bruso, is sponsored by her family.

Meagan Dube (vocal), the daughter of Ed and Theresa Dube, is sponsored by her family.

Hanah White (vocal), the daughter of Mary and David White, is sponsored by the Lavender Puff in Caribou.

Kyra Brynn Thibeault (vocal), the daughter of Rick and Beth Thibeault, is sponsored by her family.

2011 Junior Miss Caribou

Kelsie Marie Washington (dance), the daughter of Christiane and Rey Washington, is sponsored by Caribou Cuts and the Maine Dance Academy.

Karina Patterson (vocal), the daughter of Steve and Kim Patterson, is sponsored by County Sports, Reno’s & Sons Landscaping and Theriault’s Metal Works.

Alexis Rosemarie Guillemette (dance) is the daughter of Patti Romano and Ron Guillemette and her sponsor is the Caribou Bowl-a-Drome.

2011 Miss Teen Caribou

Reanna Lynn Plourde (piano), the daughter of Russell and Melinda Plourde, is sponsored by Caribou Ford.

Courtney Sheldon (piano andvocal), is the daughter of Chip and JayLynn Sheldon and is sponsored by her family.

The “Queen of the Sea” pageant will also feature special entertainment by Caribou’s reigning queens: Samantha Fortin, Pre-Teen Miss Caribou; Victoria Keaton, Junior Miss Caribou; and Hannah Hebert, Teen Miss Caribou.

The March 20 event begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 and are available from any of the contestants or at the door.
