Dorothy Hayden-Waterman, 105, died on February 26, 2011, at Abbey Delray Health Center in Delray Beach, FL, and under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County, FL.

She was born in Masardis, ME, on September 27, 1905. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Fannie Newcomb. She attended the University of Maine and taught elementary school. She was an avid golfer and ballroom dancer.

She is survived by her son, Robert Q. Hayden (Joan) of Stuart, FL; and her daughter, Ann Hayden Pelletier (Richard), of Warrenton, VA; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Maxwell Hayden and Jeremiah Waterman; her brother, Quincy Newcomb; and her sister, Christine Cookingham.

Services will be private. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home and Crematory.
