Woof – Woof – Woof
Attention dog owners. Please respect your neighbors. When you put your dog outside and it begins to bark, it means that there’s something wrong and you need to be checking on what it is. Your dog could be all tangled up in its rope, could be hungry, or cold, or maybe it just needs to come in. Dog owners are responsible for their animals and should not be neglecting them.
The other thing is how long should your neighbor’s have to wait before calling the police on you. If you’re a dog owner you don’t want the police showing up at your door just for the dog barking, as neighbors should be neighborly, right? So please be neighborly, take care of your dogs.
According to Town Ordinance Section 3-202-2 Restrictions: “It shall be unlawful for any owner of any dog to permit or allow such dog while in the town of Houlton to: engage in excessive loud howling or barking or conduct itself in such a manner so as to unreasonably annoy any person other than the owner.”
