Cary Medical Center’s laboratory recently replaced its hematology analyzer with a new automated Sysmex XT2000 state-of-the-art model. The new analyzer is interfaced with Cary’s CPSI mainframe IT system and improves the quality of the lab testing capabilities of automated complete blood counts, (CBCs); reticulocyte counts and body fluid analysis. Kathleen Mills, CLT, Cary’s hematology primary technologist, shown here, and Craig Dubay, MLT, (ASCP), have received advanced training to work with the new model.
