Adopt-a-Block food drive set

Adopt-a-Block of Aroostook is coordinating this year’s food drive in conjunction with the annual Moosestompers Weekend Feb. 18-20. Residents are asked to bring non-perishable food items to the John A. Millar Civic Center or drop your donations off at any of the following locations through Monday, Feb. 21 — Andy’s IGA,  Bangor Savings Bank, Cary Library, Greater Houlton Christian Academy, Hodgdon Elementary, Hodgdon High School, Houlton Elementary School, Houlton Federal Credit Union, Houlton High School, Houlton Rec Center, Houlton Regional Hospital, Houlton Town Office, Katahdin Trust, Lisa’s Hair Design, Machias Savings Bank, Madigan Estates, Main Street Fitness, Meduxnekeag Ramblers Snowmobile Club, Savings Bank of Maine, Shop N Save and Houlton Southside School.
“Local families need your help, and this is a great way to show you care,” said Lisa Surran, event coordinator.
Adopt-a-Block of Aroostook exists to discover and meet the needs of its neighbors. The group meets on the third Saturday of each month. For more information, call 532-2783 x102.
