BRIDGEWATER — Maine State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for causing extensive vandalism at a local residence.
“State Police are asking for assistance from the public as we investigate the vandalism of a residence on the Buckley Road in Bridgewater,” said Sgt. Thomas Pelletier, MSP.
Pelletier said the suspect(s) entered the home, leaving a path of destruction as they made their way through the structure.
“Vandals broke into the residence and tore down kitchen and bathroom cabinets, put boards through walls, busted most of the windows in the residence and destroyed several pieces of furniture. The residence was unoccupied at the time,” said Pelletier.
When the owners came home and saw the destruction, the State Police were contacted immediately.
“Damages are estimated well into the thousands of dollars,” Pelletier said.
Anyone having any information is asked to contact MSP at 800-924-2261.
Trooper Robert Flynn is the primary investigator and was assisted by Trooper Daniel Deschaine.
