PT Madeline Reed    ROLLINSFORD – Madeline Boles Reed, 95, formerly of 417 Washington Street died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua, NH.
    Daughter of Percy and Marion (Sparrow) Boles, she was born and raised in North Amity, ME, until she married Arthur Reed and started her family. She became a teacher, retiring from the Berwick, ME schools in 1980. Madeline graduated from Houlton High and business school, and earned her BA from the University of Maine while teaching full time.
    She loved reading, cooking, politics, gardening and dancing. She loved children but her own children and her husband were the loves of her life. She loved entertaining with her stories and engaging in heated political debate.
    Survivors include her son, Warner Reed and wife Shirley of Atkinson, NH; daughter, Sharon Reed-Erickson and husband Alan of Rochester; sister, Patricia Campbell of Houlton, ME; and 9 grand-children and 13 great-grand-children.
    She was predeceased by husband Arthur Reed and daughter Leota Kilburn.
    There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, 2011, at 2 PM at the First Church Congregational, 63 South Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Friends of the Rollinsford Library, PO Box 70, Rollinsford, NH 03869. Arrangements are under the direction of the R. M.
