ASHLAND – Eva Joy Ouellet-Gagne, 47, a kind, generous, loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, died unexpectedly Jan. 12, 2011, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born in Augusta, January 12, 1964, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Bragdon) Ouellet.
Eva loved spending time in the outdoors, gardening, and especially with her two dogs, Lilly and Aspen. She graduated from Ashland Community High School in 1982, and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She worked for 26 years at Burrelle’s Clipping Service in Presque Isle.
Surviving, in addition to her two loving parents, are two sisters: Brenda Boyce and companion, Jerry Carney, and Averill Gardner and husband, James, all of Ashland; one brother, Edward P. Ouellet of Winthrop; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at the Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland, on Monday, January 17, with Pastor Nathan Gardner officiating. There will be a private interment in the spring. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Hope and Justice Battered Women’s Shelter, 1150 Main St., Presque Isle, ME 04769.
