Sorority meets
The Preceptor Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Saturday, Jan. 8, at the home of Darrylin Keenan.
President Paula Flora called the meeting to order with six members present. Minutes of the December meeting were read by Recording Secretary Emily Knight. Donations to the Kiwanis Christmas Basket Program, Catholic Charities of Maine and the Central Aroostook Humane Society made during the month of December were confirmed. Other service projects will be considered at a later date.
The mystery gift was donated by Miriam Gregg and won by Darrylin Keenan. Sisters shared family news and photos and enjoyed a social time with refreshments provided by Paula Flora and Darrylin Keenan.
The next meeting will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. at the home of Anne LaPlante. Sisters are asked to bring an accessory or piece of jewelry for the Valentine gift exchange.
Ireland honored
BIDDEFORD — Kailee S. Ireland, of Presque Isle, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at the University of New England College of Arts and Sciences, located in Biddeford. Ireland made the list with a 3.89 GPA.
EMCC Fall 2010 honor roll
BANGOR — For the fall 2010 term, a total of 394 students qualified for the Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must be matriculated and enrolled full time — 12 or more credit hours — and the student must earn a GPA of 3.25 or better with no grades below a C. The following Presque Isle students were among those honored: Kori D. Kinney, Andrew J. LaPlante, Amanda S. Lynds and Jenna R. Watt.
