Caribou – Lawrence G. Michaud, 90, died January 8, 2011 at Caribou. He was born in Van Buren, October 9, 1920, the son of the late Abel and Maggie Michaud. Mr. Michaud was employed by several area potato growers and potato processing facilities. He served with the US Army during WW II and married Jeannette Raymond who predeceased him.
He is survived by two daughters, Natalie Saucier of Caribou and Mary Hanley of Conn.; three sisters, Irene Caron of Caribou, Jeannette Raymond of Conn., and Cecile Gamache of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Michaud was predeceased by a son, Rodney.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Janaury 14, 2011, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Following the service, all are invited to the parish center for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Arrangements by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
