Houlton Pioneer Times Photo/Joseph CyrThe Dead River Company recently completed its “Share the Warmth” campaign that challenged residents in Maine and New Hampshire to locate a cardboard cutout of Arthur Briggs, a delivery driver for the company. Daily clues to four hidden $500 charitable certificates were posted on the company’s Facebook page. In Houlton, a cutout of Arthur was located at Furniture and Floors North. Melanie Lowery found the cutout and chose the Houlton Salvation Army as her charity of choice. Taking part in the presentation are, from left, Lowrey, Major Steve Pearl of the Salvation Army and Wally Tapley, district manager of Dead River in Houlton. Dead River Company donated $100 to charities selected by the businesses that helped in the Share the Warmth effort by hiding the certificates/Arthur at their locations.
