CARIBOU, Maine — Members of the sixth-grade S.W.A.T. team have chosen Tamarra Walsh as Student of the Month for November. Tamarra’s teachers feels she is one of the friendliest students at CMS. Her teachers also say that she has a huge heart and is genuinely pleased for others’ successes; Tamarra is also very helpful and always puts other ahead of herself. As she is a hard worker, Tamarra is always striving to improve. Her smile and cooperative attitude endears he to both staff and peers. She is a member of the CMS Chorus and band; her teachers feel that she is highly deserving of this recognition.
The sixth grade team with Mrs. Dionne and Mr. Pelletier was very pleased to announce Jill Courchene as the December Student of the Month. Jill is a high honor student who takes great pride in her work. She is a diligent and hard working student. Jill is a member of the CMS Gifted and Talented program and is extremely creative. She is particularly gifted in art, which makes her a popular partner choice for team projects. Jill was selected by her classmates to be the classroom representative for Student Organization, a job she takes very seriously. According to her teachers, she is very dependable about keeping the class informed about the various topics discussed at the meetings. She is also a member of the Caribou Middle School band. Jill has an outgoing personality and always has a smile on her face. She is well respected by both her peers and teachers.
Seventh-grade teachers Kim Barnes, Mary Curtis, Steve Perreault, Holly Rhinebolt and Shelly Richardson have chosen Anna Soderberg as their November Student of the Month. According to the teachers, Anna is a very pleasant young lady and takes great pride in her schoolwork. She is always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs it, including her teachers. Anna is an active member of CMS where she is involved in XC running, skiing, tennis, track, band, Developmental Assets, and Student Organization.
Lyndsay Rowland was selected as a November Student of the Month for grade seven at CMS. According to her teachers, Lyndsay is a hard working, highly motivated student who always is prepared for class. She is an excellent role model for her peers and is well liked by both students and staff. Her positive attitude is contagious and she is a pleasure to have in class.
The Grade eight team of CMS has chosen Taya Damboise as their student of the Month for November. According to her teachers, Taya was chosen because of her willingness to help others and her ability to set an example for all who attend CMS. She is always willing to help a fellow classmate or teacher, often without being asked. Taya is a wonderful role model to all students and sets a great example regarding schoolwork and the treatment of fellow classmates, schoolmates, teachers and adults.
Members of the eighth-grade staff at CMS have taken great pleasure in recognizing Larry Spencer as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for November. According to his educators, Larry is a pleasure to have in class and has a wonderful personality. He is well liked by both staff and students and goes out of his way to share his sense of humor with all. Larry is a determined student who always tries his best and is always looking for ways to improve. Larry consistently leads his day with a smile and a pleasant attitude which makes him a joy to be around.
