Eight ladies from the Washburn Rec Center Senior Citizens’ Group recently toured the Fort Fairfield Border Patrol Station. Those attending included Sylvia Wardwell, Drucilla Turner, Margaret Barker, CeCe Rossignol, Bernadette Rossignol, Arlene Cole and Wilda Goodall. They were shown an informative PowerPoint presentation on what the current Border Patrol is about and how the agents became patrolmen of the Department of Homeland Security. The presentation was followed by an interesting tour of the facility which appeared to be enjoyed by all. After the tour, the ladies went to lunch at Fort Fairfield’s “Boondocks” restaurant.
