BANGOR – At the 37th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet held Sunday, Dec. 5, senior forward Jenna Selander of the Caribou Vikings received her second consecutive National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-New England honor.

ALL-NEW ENGLAND – Jenna Selander, a senior forward for the Caribou Vikings’ girls soccer team, for the second year in a row was named as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-New England choice. She was one of just four girls’ players from the state to receive the honor.
She joined Allison Walton of Brunswick, Jordan Pellerin of Waterville and Emily Lane of Sacopee Valley as the state’s only All-New England choices.
Receiving boys’ All-New England honors were Phil Frost of Bangor, Luke Pierce of Yarmouth, Dakota Duplissie of Maranacook and Fazal Nabi of Portland.
Pellerin, Walton and Frost were also named NSCAA All-Americas. Selander also came away with Girls’ Class B player of the year. Walton was the Class A choice, while Lane earned the honor in Class C and Danica Hurley of Richmond in Class D.
Boys selected for the recognition were Frost in Class A, Pierce in Class B, Tom Levesque of Fort Kent in C and Tyler Alexander of Bangor Christian in D.
Named the Eastern Maine Girls’ Coach of the Year was Caribou’s Todd Albert, who led his team to the Eastern Maine Class B title.
Making the Boys Eastern Maine State Team was Josh Allen, a senior forward for the Presque Isle Wildcats, along with Frost, Luke Hettermann of Bangor, Mitchell Black and Garrett Brann, both of Brunswick; Graham Safford of Hampden, Chris Hall of Messalonskee, Ali Hersi and Shobow Saban, both of Lewiston; Eric Trautman-Mosher of Morse, Wilson Guthro of Waterville, Andrew Austin and Jordan Carter, both of Ellsworth; Thomas Levesque of Fort Kent, Tyler Alexander and Nate Kutz, both of Bangor Christian; and Stephen Berenyi of Calvary Chapel.
The Girls’ EM State Team consisted of Selander, Chelsea Nickerson and Kayla Richards, both of Presque Isle; and Brooke LaBelle of Ashland.
Other honorees were Kim Jordan and Ashley Robinson, both of Bangor; Allison Walton of Brunswick, Michaela Stephenson and Julia Snyder, both of Hampden; Jaymee Wallace of Mt. Ararat, Jordan Pellerin of Waterville, Melanie Vangel of Camden Hills, Katie Deshane of Old Town, Max McHugh of Central, Rebecca Martin of Fort Kent, Alex Crocker and Caleigh Paul, both of Orono; Janel Rockwell of Southern Aroostook and Parise Rossignol of Van Buren.
