Robinson joins animal hospital

PRESQUE ISLE — Four-legged patients have a new health care provider, following the Presque Isle Animal Hospital’s hiring of a new associate veterinarian, Dr. Cristina Robinson.
“Nick and I are pleased to welcome Dr. Robinson to our practice at 79 Mapleton Road in Presque Isle,” said Dr. Andrea Pesut.
Robinson received her degree while studying in Europe, specializing in horses.

NEW VETERINARIAN — Dr. Cristina Robinson has joined the veterinary practice of Drs. Andrea and Nicholas Pesut at the Presque Isle Animal Hospital located on the Mapleton Road in Presque Isle.
“Dr. Robinson is a 1998 summa cum laude graduate of the Padua University School of Veterinary Medicine in Padua, Italy. She completed an internship in equine studies at Cambridge University, England, in 2001, and a second internship in equine medicine and surgery at Chino Valley Equine Hospital in California in 2002,” said Pesut.
Robinson continued her studies in equine medicine in Ohio.
“From 2004-07, Dr. Robinson studied equine medicine at the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her residency there and earned board certification in large animal internal medicine in 2007,” Pesut said.
Robinson is employed as an associate veterinarian at the PIAH, providing small-animal surgery and medical services.
“Special areas of expertise Dr. Robinson brings to the community include abdominal and cardiac ultrasound, and internal medicine,” said Pesut.
Robinson resides in Presque Isle with her husband, Shawn, and their two children, Carolina and Thomas. They share their home with a dog named Jack and three cats named Sugar Ray, Dora and Carlotta.
The Pesuts and staff wish to extend a warm welcome to Robinson and her family.
