CARIBOU — The Northern Maine Board of Approved Soccer Officials announced Saturday the 2010 winners of the annual Butch Shaw Awards, presented to outstanding soccer players during the 2010 season in Aroostook County.
The award is named in memory of Clyde “Butch” Shaw, an outstanding athlete, coach and official in Aroostook County who died in 1985. The winners were selected by a vote of the members of the Northern Maine Board of Approved Soccer Officials.
Winners of the award were:
Class B — Josh Allen, Presque Isle High School; and Jenna Selander, Caribou High School.
Class C — Jared Soucy, Fort Kent Community School; and Rebecca Martin, Fort Kent Community School.
Class D (boys) — Patrick Goodall, Southern Aroostook High School; Cody Robinson, Southern Aroostook High School; and Jordan McLaughlin, Washburn.
Class D (girls) — Brooke LaBelle, Ashland High School; and Parise Rossignol, Van Buren High School.
