Junior Exhibition is Friday night at EHS

On Nov. 17, Annie Lloyd and Desirae Cote have a birthday. On Nov. 18, Reta Flewelling, Nichole King, Carrie Darr, Jon Jeffers, Alexis Pelkey, Denise Green and Ryan Carmer will all be a year older. Happy birthday to you all. Phyllis Nadeau and Ethan Richardson have a birthday Nov. 19. On Nov. 20, Caleb Darr, Leonna King, Linda Robbins and Alecia DeCruz all turn another year older. Nov. 21 Trent Lundeen, Rhonda Condon, Maurice Hewitt II and Lam Coffin will be celebrating their birthdays. On Nov. 22, Elizabeth Vernon, Justin Perry and Bobbi Jo Hull all have birthdays. Also Nov. 22, Paul and Lianna DeMerchant have an anniversary.
The Easton Junior/Senior High School will be holding its Junior Exhibition Friday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at Easton High School.
Thanksgiving week activities
Tuesday, Nov. 23 — Bowling in Presque Isle from 12:15-2:45 p.m. (this is an early release day). The cost is $5. Concessions will be available. The bus will depart from the school and return to the hall. Open to grades 1 and up; younger children are welcome with an adult.
Wednesday, Nov. 24 — Movie at the Caribou Theatre. The cost is $5 for your ticket, soda and popcorn. “Megaminds” will be showing; it is rated PG. The bus will depart from the hall at 12:10 p.m. and return by 3:10 p.m. Open to grades 1 and up.
Swim lessons will be offered for those in kindergarten and younger from Monday, Nov. 8, through Dec. 13,from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Presque Isle Indoor Pool. The cost is $20. Transportation will be provided directly after the 1 o’clock dismissal and we will return in time to ride the regular after-school bus runs home.
We are glad to present a new program called “real food, real fast and really good for you” in cooperation with the Maine Cooperative Extension. The class will meet every other Tuesday evening in the recreation room at the manor starting at 5:30 p.m. This is a great time for families to prepare food together, get some new recipes and fellowship with other member of the community and you may even learn a few things along the way. Our November classes will be held on the 16th and 30th. The cost is $2 per participant.
The Easton Recreation Department is selling tickets to the Harlem Superstars in Ashland on Friday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at Ashland District School. Tickets can be purchased at the Easton Town Office for $8. They will be $10 at the door. Tickets are limited.

Wednesday, Nov. 17 — Junior activities for ages 2 and up at the hall from 9:30-11 a.m. Seniors’ exercise at 1 p.m. in the recreation room at the manor. Final gymnastics classes at 3 and 3:45 p.m. in the high school gym.
Thursday, Nov. 18 — Seniors’ Thanksgiving potluck, starting at 11:30 a.m. in the recreation room at the manor. Please bring your favorite holiday dish to share with the group.
Friday, Nov. 19 — Junior activities 9:30-11 a.m. at the hall. Open to ages 2 and up.
Monday, Nov. 22 — Senior Nutrition Class starting at 11 a.m. in the recreation room at the manor. Kindergarten swim lessons; we’ll carpool and return in time to ride the after-school buses home. After-school program, “Jump into Foods & Fitness,” with Chris Finemore from the Cooperative Extension. Children must have a note for their classroom teacher and should be picked up at the hall at 4:15 p.m. Zumba class from 6-7 p.m. in the elementary school gym.
The Francis Malcolm Science Center once again invites you to attend our popular wreath-making workshop. They provide all the materials to create a unique and personalized holiday wreath, centerpiece or swag. Prices range from $5 to $10. Reservations are required and workshops can fill up quickly, so call 488-5451 today! Dates are as follows: Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 22-23, 6-8 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 3, 6-8 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 4, 9 a.m. to noon.
